From April 13 through may 31, 2008, Virginia American Water will conduct hydrant flushing in the city of Alexandria and in Prince William County. This routine work is part of our annual main flushing program and improves water service by cleaning mineral deposits and sediment from water mains. During this period, customers who are especially sensitive to the taste and odor of chlorine should keep an open container of drinking water in their refrigerators.
